Volunteers
NYC Bird Alliance was founded in 1979 by a group of passionate bird- and nature-lovers who volunteered their time to protect bird habitat in Central Park’s Ramble. The organization has now grown to include a full-time professional staff that oversees conservation and outreach campaigns in all five boroughs of New York City, but much of our work is still carried out by thousands of dedicated volunteers who share their time and energy with NYC Bird Alliance to help protect birds.
