César Castillo Memorial Queens County Birdathon
_edited.jpg)
Join us in celebrating the life of César Castillo (1980-2023), a beloved naturalist and teacher, in the third annual César Castillo Memorial Queens County Birdathon.
In partnership with the Queens County Bird Club and Queens College, NYC Bird Alliance will host three bird outings on May 3, 2025 to explore some of César’s favorite bird patches. This event is a fundraiser for NYC Bird Alliance, where César served as a Board Director from 2018 to 2023. Funds will go towards efforts he cared deeply about: programming in his home county of Queens, with a focus on connecting underserved communities to nature.

DONATE IN MEMORY OF CÉSAR
You can donate a fixed amount when you register for the May 3 Birdathon. You can also make a pledge per species sighted and donate after the event: we will publish a cumulative list of species seen during the Birdathon walks here; donations will remain open after the event and you can make your gift then.
Can’t attend the May 3 Birdathon? You can still make a gift in honor of César.
